What is a Host Family?

This summertime wooden bat league attracts some of the most talented college baseball players from across the nation. This season, we will need homes for approximately 30 players. According to NCAA rules, college baseball players cannot be paid for living expenses and other costs. It requires summer leagues such as the CPL to use Host Families to house thier players. Becoming a host family for our players is a critical and very important role in the success and in the lives of these athletes.

Who are Host Families?

Host families consist of retired individuals, parents with young children up to teenagers. These young men are passionate about baseball and inspire those around them. These guys become part of your family for many years to come.

Major Responsiblities:

• Be available to host a player from May 29th through August 15th
• Provide a clean, safe and pleasant environment for the players to sleep
• Provide access to laundry equipment. Players do their own laundry, but welcome any help you give them
• It is recommended that you provide one to two meals a day, however it is not a requirement
• Welcome the players much like any visiting guest in your home

• Season tickets for all home games (does not include playoff games)
• Autographed team photo
• Meet and greet dinner with the players
• On Field recognition at the Grizzlies last home game
